Birthday Snow

So yesterday was my 30th birthday, and I am really quite excited about this new year. Yesterday was a nice quiet day mostly with the family.

Now for an interesting fact, in 30 years I believe that it has only not snowed maybe 3 times on my birthday, (i consider snow mother natures birthday present, and look forward to it) this year was one of them, however we had a huge storm the day before and again today. This storm left ice on every thing and the views from my house were exquisite!

This first picture is looking to the backyard, early in the morning, all of the neighbors trees were hit by the sun and it looked like diamonds everywhere.

This second picture was taken at sunset, I looked out the window wondering why someone had put Christmas lights in their tree after the holidays, when I realized that it was once again the sun, it looked like the tree was on fire. (I do wish that I had a telephoto lens for this, but this is the best my little camera can do.)

Mother Nature's presents are always awesome and inspiring!

30 is going to be GREAT!
