Long Days

The Bug is growing so fast and each day he does something new and adorable and older. Its such an exciting time. These past few days he has been fascinated by my hands, as I move them and put them together and I see him stareing at his hands moving his fingers and then picking up something new, it is fun watching him connect in his head.

He has been sitting by himself for over a month, and he now rolls over more often, still not from his back though. However, he is getting more and more frustrated by the lack of moment he can go and today was a long day for us. Bug woke up so smiley and happy and I was prepared for a fun day, but as the day wore on he got cranky, or touchy, I couldn't tell. As long as I was with him, playing with him or holding him (he wanted this most) he was happy, but the moment that I got up, even to get a bottle or use the restroom he would begin to scream. He didn't like any of his big toys today, that meant momma was doing something else. It is such a hard thing because I love to sit and cuddle and play and I know that this won't last forever, but I have been trying to clean my kitchen for weeks now and every time I start I get interrupted so now I have a bigger mess than when I started.

Anyway, after A got home and played with Nat a little bit and I was able to get some dinner done, A left for young men's and I was once again left alone with an inconsolable baby. He was sitting on the floor playing with his toys and yelling at me because they were all out of reach. Then he fell over and this video is the result. His first efforts to crawl.

As exciting as this is, and I hope you didn't mind the crying, once I picked him up I felt horrible for filming and not consoling him, because when he hits his nose on the orange circle he hit hard enough to get a bloody nose, his first. Well we survived and hopefully he will be more pleasant tomorrow.
