We had a wonderful and exhaustive halloween. Bug asked if I would go to school with him and so I did. We dressed up and I enjoyed just seeing how the school day runs, even though it wasn't totally normal since it was a holiday, but Bug is really such a good kid at school and it was fun to see him interact with his friends.
We had a trunk or treat at the church, which for us is good since no one ever comes to our house, and I don't really want to drive around to find places to go door to door. A even got into it this year and got himself a costume. He was really excited for the boys reaction. It was great!
Rory was suprisingly good about the whole thing. (She is normally calm and unbothered but I thought it might be too much for her). She seemed to love Bug's ghost face and laughed and stared anytime he was near her. She was good with her costume as long as it wasn't in her face, and she didn't seemed bothered by my weird make up or anything. She loved my hat and tried to pull it off many times.
Over all it was a great holiday, always been one of my favorites since I get to dress up, but I really see the appeal when little children get excited.
