Christmas time

We had a busy November and once I get around to finding the pictures from Thanksgiving I might get them posted, but until then...

While we were at my parents house for Thanksgiving we helped put up their beautiful 12 foot tree, the boys were awake for the actual tree, but sleeping while my mom and I put up all her decorations. When the boys woke up they were so excited, and once we got home they asked everyday until I finally got it up on Thursday, when we would put up our tree. I love my Christmas tree and I had many years to make it beautiful, so I admit it is not very child friendly, therefore for the last few years I have been hesitant to put it together. This year I decided to go for the whole thing. The baby can't walk, she likes to scoot, so we kept all the glass off the last tier, we put the few plastic, or child friendly ornaments on the lower half, but I still put on all my glass balls (I counted one year over 200) and just told the boys they couldn't touch the tree. So far they have been very good about it. They get to turn on the lights each day they are happy.

Also now that we are into the season we can have a confessional that the boys have been watching Christmas movies since July and we started listening to Christmas music a month ago, we kept it limited but it still got turned on. The boys found their Santa hats in my boxes and have worn them every minute allowed since Thursday, it is so cute.

I love this time of year, I love the silly songs and the most beautiful carols, I enjoy the ABC family movies and the classics. We love it and just wish I had more flat surfaces and less little fingers so that I could put out more decorations, like my Christmas Village, and candles, etc...

Enjoy the season.
