16 years ago A and I played an April fools joke, we pretended to get engaged and realized that we actually liked each other. It sounds simple but it wasn't it took another month or so to actually start dating and over a year before we finally got married with a few bumps along the path, but we eventually made it and have celebrated that anniversary every year. This year unexpectedly we both actually gave gifts. I decided to make A absolute favorite cookies- chocolate chocolate chip- I don't make them often swore I wouldn't ever make them again the last time since he made comments, but it felt good to bake. He came home with flowers. They are beautiful and have brightened up the house, especially since our sunny weather has left us this week.
I love A, we have had our share of problems and trials to overcome but we are the best of friends and we wouldn't complement anyone else quite the way we do each other. Here is to another 16 years plus.
