I have always planned on having my children learn to play the piano. It is something I have always loved and cherished in my life, the ability to create beautiful music. Anyway I started young and I wanted to start my kids young but very few teachers will start as young as I wanted. But there is a wonderful teacher in our neighborhood who will take young kids and she has a great personality to work with the exuberance that comes with it. I signed Bug up (he is 6) for lessons with the new year and we are a month into it. Of course there are moments and I am sure it will get more dramatic as time goes, but for now he is doing awesome! He is willing to practice each day before school and he seems to enjoy the accomplishment of actually playing notes that sound like a melody.
