Bird's Nest

I wish that I had pictures of this story, but I don't...

About a month ago every morning while I was feeding Nat breakfast I noticed a couple of beautiful birds hanging out on our back deck. I didn't think much about them, it was spring and there were birds everywhere, and last year some birds built a nest in the rafters if the deck, so there it was.

Well after a few days of this we decided it was finally time to open up the grill and start our summer meals. We opened the grill and there was the beginning of a nest, just a few twigs nothing too serious, so A cleaned it out and we grilled, well now for the last few weeks we have grilled something at least once a week and every time we go out to find a new nest started, they don't get very far, but this weekend they started working in earnest. A said that he had to go out every few hours and practically take out a full nest. Tonight, once again we went out to grill and the nest was back, however after our dinner was over the birds flew in. First the female and she looked a little concerned, but she flew away quickly, but pretty soon the male came back in all his rainbow colored glory (they are beautiful birds all black with iridescent highlights) anyway he fluffed his feathers and started sqwaking, they probably aren't done trying yet, they don't seem to be learning very quickly, but it's been fun to see them everyday.
