the 4th, fairly uneventful, especially after years of family gatherings, we just stayed at home and enjoyed being together as a family. It rained most of the day, so we didn't venture too far, and our area doesn't do too many spectacular things for the 4th. Believe it or not, parades are limited, and I don't think anyone does a public fireworks display. But we didn't miss fireworks, there was a nice show in our neighborhood and surrounding areas, since we sit on hill we could see about 10 or 15 different firework shows going on, and all in the comfort of our dry, warm house, while we played games. It was wonderful. Nat even enjoyed looking at the firework flowers, he was a little concerned about the booms, but no tears.
