Best Days of Their Lives, so far...

 We are finally getting some of the work done on the yard, first up... Driveway, which means we hired someone to come in and use their really cool equipment. The boys couldn't have been more excited to see the Bobcat arrive, and then a "concrete mixer truck".

Yesterday at the early hour of 7ish the bobcat arrived to dig the paths, pull out the old driveway and anything else that needed to be done. The boys were glued to the window. When we went out to check on things, they were offered a ride in the bobcat. Each took a turn and as far as I could tell they were allowed to run the controls and everything.

Today the mixer truck arrived, and had a little hiccup so while we went out to answer some questions, the boys pulled on their boots and took a walk in the wet concrete, got a hose off from the truck itself and a run through the pathways.

Here of course shows their real perrsonalities, I told them if they went down the stairs (and got in the concrete or in the way) they had to go inside, this is them trying to "sneak" down the stairs.

So cool mom, so cool!!!


Other than the actual time the boys have spent outside it has been fun listening to the commentary in the house. Bug has consistently made comments such as "careful, careful bobcat, good job", and when Papa came home "no don't go that way, you'll get in trouble".

Baba spent at least 20 minutes yesterday afternoon "outside mama, ride in bobcat. put sister down here, sister in seat, come ride bobcat".

Its been really fun. Glad it will be all over soon, but I will miss how much fun they have had.
