Decorating the New House

I had a really fun time decorating the house this year for Christmas. As long as we are home for Thanksgiving I like to put everything out over the weekend. We had the house full on Thursday, but everyone left by Friday afternoon so I started putting up as much as I could. We have lived in a significantly smaller space for all of our marriage, and I have gathered different items, that got used one year, and then stayed in the box because I didn't have room.  This year I found room for almost everything (except the mistletoe, I couldn't reach the ceilings or door frames). I also asked for a little pencil tree that I could decorate with all my glass and pretty ornaments, and then we put up the "fat" tree so that the kids could help with the decorations, and there was somewhere to put all of the ornaments and decorations that they make at school somewhere too.

We also let each child pick out an ornament (which I hope becomes a tradition).
