Day 7 & 8 Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada

We called this our Alaskan vacation, but really most of our time was spent in Canada. After a refreshing night at the Pine Lake campground we got up and packed the van, I wanted to take a good hike and had found a trail with sign posts along it, so Grandpa and Papa took the kids back to the lake and my mom and I headed out on the trail, a couple hundred yards in we came to wiped out bridge so we turned around and went back. The kids played for a little more than we traveled into Whitehorse.

We knew we were going to stay in Whitehorse for a day or two and mostly the weather held. There were a few sprinkles and it remained cloudy the whole time, but we were able to get our tents up before any rain, we bought mom and dad a tarp to put over their tent and we felt pretty good. We stayed at the Robert Service Campground, we drove in and it felt a little "hippy", but they have showers and running toilets it was perfect.
After showers all around we went for an early dinner. Just going to point out I was able to give all 3 kids a shower in under 5 minutes. 1 looney= 5 minutes water for shower.

After dinner we decided we should get some laundry done so my mom and I stayed at the laundry mat while A and grandpa took the kids to see a few things in Whitehorse.

The next morning we decided to visit Lake LeBarge, i.e Robert Service Cremation of Sam McGee.

When we got back to Whitehorse we separated again, mom and I went shopping while the kids went to see the transportation museum.

We met up after our various outings, and seeing that the kids were pretty tired we decided to grab an early dinner and then head back to the campsite. There was a nice playground there and the kids were happy to play.
