Misty Morning

We had another birthday recently.  Rory turned 3 on March 5. She is at that age where this was her first birthday she was aware of. She woke up knowing it was her day and so excited for all of it.  We ate her favorite breakfast-Oatmeal and she got one present an "outfit" for the day. We kept this one simple and just for the family. Her dad was on a business trip and spent many hours on an airplane to make it home.  So we kept things uncomplicated.  She asked for a pink heart cake and waffles for dinner. We made everything pink that we could!

She was awfully spoiled. She got a tea set and a purse, the boys gave her a Minnie Mouse teddy and camera, she got some dress ups and a "magnetic doll".

Rory is quite a firecracker! She has turned her terrible twos into terrifying threes.  I don't know if we will really survive this next year.  She runs this house, she both bosses and takes care of her brothers. She thinks she is the mom. She is a big girl, so she never wants help and causes quite a bit of chaos in her wake as she tries to "do it by herself". She won't hold hands to cross the street and talks all through church, she often can't sit down quietly and has to be going all the time.

She is dancing and singing and make believing all the time. She often has a baby at her side and even treats her brothers like they are her children. She is organized and neat and still loves PINK!  We love her hugs and her sweet spirit. She is the light of the family and usually everyone wants to play with her. Her hair is just awesome, I can't decide if her curls will stay, but they are still there most of the time, she  sometimes lets me still do cute things and other days she wants the wild look. She loves her good night songs, but doesn't like when we sing the same songs to the boys.  She is my constant shadow and wants to help in the kitchen for all meals and follows me around as I move from counter, to stove, to cutting board, again and again I trip a lot and get frustrated, but I also love that she wants to help in the kitchen.

We love having our little sis and think she makes the family perfect.
